Construction law from contract to dispute
ANNOT advises clients, contractors and consultants on construction law and construction disputes. Building projects can raise questions about the scope of work, changes during the project and responsibility when the outcome or timetable is disputed.
We review and interpret construction contracts and provide advice during ongoing projects. Where disagreements arise, we examine the contract, project records and the parties’ claims to clarify the legal position and available options.
Variations, defects, delays and payment
Disputes may concern payment for variations, additional work or omitted work, referred to in Sweden as ÄTA-arbeten. Other recurring issues include impediments and delays, defects and remedial work, inspections, notifications and final accounts.
We help clients present and respond to claims and organise documents such as instructions, meeting minutes, schedules, invoices and inspection reports. Our approach takes account of whether work is still ongoing or the dispute concerns a completed project.
